Art Deco zoomorphic ceramic inkwell – Monkey – A.L. Made in France – circa 1925-1935

Original French inkwell in polychrome enameled porcelain representing a stylized monkey, produced in a typically Art Deco aesthetic.

The piece features a remarkable geometric decoration in highly contrasting colors, combining cobalt blue, black, white and orange accents.

The monkey's head forms the removable lid and reveals the space intended for the ink reservoir, which is still present. Its rim is enhanced with gilding.

Under the base is the mark “A.L. – Made in France”, attributed to the Aladin manufacture, Art Deco period, probably made around 1925-1935.

Condition: very good overall for its age; see the detailed photographs which are an integral part of the description.

Original encrier français en porcelaine émaillée polychrome représentant un singe stylisé, réalisé dans une esthétique typiquement Art déco.

La pièce présente un remarquable décor géométrique aux couleurs très contrastées, associant bleu cobalt, noir, blanc et touches orangées. 

La tête du singe forme le couvercle amovible et découvre l’emplacement destiné au godet à encre, celui-ci étant toujours présent. Son bord est rehaussé d’une dorure.

Sous la base figure la marque « A.L. – Made in France », attribuée à la manufacture Aladin, période Art déco, probablement réalisée vers 1925-1935.

État : très bel état général au vu de son ancienneté voir les photographies détaillées qui font partie intégrante de la description.
