An Edwardian sterling silver matchbox holder by Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham, 1901, of rectangular form with a plain polished surface engraved with the initial ‘C’.
Fully hallmarked with the maker’s mark S✶B, Birmingham anchor, date letter for 1901 and the lion passant, the traditional British standard mark for sterling silver.
Light surface wear and minor marks consistent with age and use.
The matches and the cardboard matchbox shown in the photographs are for display purposes only and are not included in the sale.
