They asked themselves a question!
How can we compete with the major Japanese brands to offer a top-quality turntable?
The answer came spontaneously!
We’ll have them produced directly by them!
They didn’t settle for the first one they found.
But they went directly to the best.
MICRO-SEIKI!
This is the Telefunken HiFi Stereo Turntable CS 20, an excellent vintage device introduced to the market in the early '80s (roughly between 1980 and 1982). A technical feature highly appreciated by enthusiasts is that this model was entirely produced in Japan by Micro Seiki for the German brand Telefunken. Micro Seiki is historically renowned in the world of high fidelity for the build quality of its arms and reading systems.

Main Technical Features:

- Quartz Direct Drive: Guarantees an extremely stable and precise platter rotation speed.
- 2-Motor System: One motor dedicated exclusively to platter rotation and a second independent servo motor that handles the automatic tonearm mechanisms. This way the start/auto-return functions do not interfere with the reading fluidity.
- Fully Automatic Operation (Vollautomat): Equipped with dedicated front buttons for Start, Stop and Repeat (continuous disc repetition).
- Pitch Control (+/- 5%): Allows fine adjustment of speed while excluding quartz lock via the dedicated button.
- Tonearm: A statically balanced 'S' tonearm with precision adjustments for the counterweight (tracking force) and anti-skating system.
- From factory it came with the famous integrated cartridge Ortofon Concorde LMA 12, just to give you an idea of how they wanted to create a turntable with the best components and complete with every function.

Turntable fully refurbished, cleaned, calibrated and tested by an expert technician.
Every part is completely original except RCA connectors replaced with gold-plated nickel connectors.
Overall condition excellent, except for a tiny "bubble" as in the photo and some wear with inevitable signs of time but with hinges and fittings perfect.
The cartridge and stylus are still original and sounding well.
