Original Dutch stained-glass window in a wooden frame, dating from 1930–1940, made of glass with lead cames and coloured amber/orange, deep red and green/turquoise accents, measuring approximately 100 × 60 cm with a depth of 1 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and two unobtrusive cracks in the glass, from Haarlem, Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Original Dutch stained-glass window in a wooden frame, originating from an older building and preserved after dismantling of the original frame.
The window has a beautiful symmetrical and geometric design, executed in structural glass with colored accents in amber/orange, deep red and green/turquoise. The combination of the structural glass, the different colors and the original lead work gives the window a characteristic appearance.
Dimensions: approx. 100 × 60 cm.
The stained glass has been carefully cleaned. The original lead came is preserved and has not been polished or restored.
Condition:
The glass of this piece has been checked; it concerns an older piece of which two panes have an unobtrusive crack
The original wooden frame shows clear signs of age and use, including flaking paint and local wear. The frame has deliberately not been restored, so the authentic appearance has been preserved and a future owner can decide how it will be finished.
The window is suitable for reuse in, for example, a historic building, interior door, partition wall or interior project, but can also be used as an independent decorative object.
