Splendid and fascinating lot consisting of 4 frame-handled saws (bow saws), historic hand tools dating to the first half of the 20th century (roughly the 1920s-1950s), traditionally used in Italian wood crafting and carpentry. The objects feature the classic solid wood "H" frame with an upper woven cord tensioner. The original mechanical torsion tensioning system (via the central wooden bar or slider) is present and structurally intact. The steel blades display the period-typical tooth pattern and retain a splendid authentic patina of the era. The end knobs, finely turned in wood, allow manual adjustment of the blade angle. This lot represents a perfect piece of history of rural and artisanal civilization, ideal for collectors of vintage tools, restoration enthusiasts, or as refined decorative and interior design elements for taverns, workshops, lofts and rustic/industrial style spaces.

The objects are solid and structurally sound; they present a magnificent surface patina due to time, very slight signs of wear on the wood and natural oxidation on the ferrous blades that certify their authenticity and historic era. One specimen shows a metal reinforcing/maintenance pin from the era on the blade.
