The candlestick has an openwork tray and rests on two small feet, and inside there is a vase-shaped candle holder for the candle. Furthermore, it features a flat stem (bent at the end, where the third foot is located).
The whole is decorated on the sides with two pearl borders (a motif that is echoed on the edge of the tray); at the end of the stem a small chain is attached that leads to a tweezers (which can be inserted into a holder attached to the underside of the stem).
This piece was made in Barcelona by F. Roca, a silversmith who operated in that city in the second half of the 18th century and the early 19th century.
