Description from the seller

Authentic Kuba Ikul, also known as Ikula or peace knife, from the Kasai region, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Circa late 19th – early 20th century.

Characteristically leaf-shaped, double-edged iron blade with a raised central ridge and fine groove decoration. Not a sharp combat weapon, but a ceremonial status symbol worn on the hip by every adult man.
