German solid oak desktop drawer cabinet, 17 cm high, 45.5 cm wide and 32 cm deep, dating from 1930–1940, in good condition with signs of aging.
Description from the seller
An authentic, heavy-set German desktop drawer cabinet (Schubladenkästchen) from the early 20th century, originally used in workshops, offices, or counters to store small tools, stationery, or documents.
Item Details
Materials: Solid oak body and drawer fronts stained in a deep mahogany tone, with traditional hand-cut dovetail joinery. Drawer interiors are made of lightweight softwood (pine or spruce).
Design: Four symmetrical drawers in two rows, each fitted with natural patinated brass knobs.
Rear Space: The drawers are shallower than the frame, leaving open space behind them. This may have served as a technical space, a hidden compartment, or a base for a desktop press or scale.

Dimensions: 17 cm (H) × 45.5 cm (W) × 32 cm (D).
Condition: Sturdy and heavy for its size. Displays natural signs of age, including surface wear, scratches, minor wood losses, aged brass patina, and historical mounting marks. Please refer to the photos as part of the description.
