Vintage Danish Lysgards Design chain with brutalist pendant – tin & ceramic – approx. 1960–1970
Special vintage Danish chain with a large sculptural pendant from Lysgards Design, executed in the characteristic brutalist-modernist idiom of the 1960s–1970s.
The pendant is made of tin and has a pronounced architectural construction. The upper part consists of a rectangular form with a central square ceramic element, rendered in beautiful green-blue tones with a softly iridescent appearance.
Below the ceramic centerpiece is a geometric lattice of open cylindrical elements. From this hang several large movable rings that together form a striking, almost kinetic fringe. When the chain moves, these individual links move along, so the piece constantly changes its appearance.

The back is equipped with the original round Lysgards Design maker’s mark and the inscription “Tin 80”. This makes the piece identifiable as a Lysgards Design creation.
