Amazing vintage countertop coffee grinder, reproducing the design and iconic mechanical configuration of French productions from the late 19th or early 20th century (Peugeot type A). Not showing any brand or visible stamp,

this object of popular art will appeal to lovers of fine antiques and collectors with its craftsmanship and authenticity.

Design & Materials: Upper cap and mechanism in black cast iron. The body and molded base are solid wood (oak or walnut) with a beautiful natural patina. The bottom of the grinder is solid, entirely original, and retains its four old brass domed nails/stains under the base. Mechanism & Adjustment: The visible conical gear system is complete and in excellent working order. The upper part features its toothed adjustment system for grind fineness with its steel tongue.

The upper cap opens to allow full access to the hopper, revealing a screw-press and a well-preserved millstone.
Drawer: Supplied complete with its original wooden drawer equipped with its small turned wooden pull knob.

Condition: Very good overall aesthetic and mechanical condition. No cracks in the cast iron, the gears and the large lateral handle rotate with perfect fluidity. The few marks and signs of normal use on the wood emphasize its history and reinforce its authentic charm.
