A set of two vintage 800 silver Art Deco bracelets dating from circa 1930–1950, likely German/Middle European origin, with tortoiseshell-look inlay and a total weight of 20 g.
Description from the seller
Set of 2 vintage 800 silver bracelets – Art Deco – tortoise motif – circa 1930–1950
Special and elegant set of two matching vintage bracelets, made of 800 silver and likely originating from Germany or Central Europe, circa 1930–1950.
The bracelets feature a sleek geometric design that nicely complements the late Art Deco period. Along the outer side there is a decorative inlay in warm amber, brown, and dark tones, executed in a characteristic possibly tortoiseshell inlay / tortoiseshell-look. This is a description of the decoration; the inlay is not offered with certainty as tortoise material.
Both bracelets are clearly stamped on the inside with “800”, for a silver content of 800/1000. An additional maker’s or manufacturer’s mark was not found. The exact manufacturer therefore cannot be determined with certainty.
The bracelets are in a beautiful authentic vintage condition. The silver shows normal wear and aging, including fine scratches, patina, and local discoloration. They have deliberately not been over-polished, so the original character has been preserved. See the photos for a good impression of the condition.
