Superb Cousances casserole model « Plume » no. 20, an iconic vintage piece from Le Creuset. Cousances being the high-end models from Le Creuset.

The "Cousances" in enameled cast iron possess a craftsmanship particularly sought after by lovers of fine old pieces, including a truly reinforced enamel cooking.

The model « Plume » is distinguished by its slightly lighter design (it is the lid that is lighter compared to traditional cocottes), while preserving the qualities of enameled cast iron: excellent diffusion and retention of heat, gentle and even cooking, ideal for slow-cooked dishes, braises and family recipes.

A magnificent volcanic red color, with a superb gradient ranging from deep red to bright red. The COUSANCES signature is present on the lid knob as well as under the casserole.

The body is enameled cast iron, while the lid is enameled tinplate, characteristic of this Plume model.

Condition: very good vintage condition. Some light signs of use on the bottom of the bowl and a small discreet chip under the lid and rim of the casserole (see photos), visible in the photographs. The whole remains very elegant and perfectly representative of its era.
