Timeless desk or table lamp designed by architect Louis Kalff for Philips. This is the first version from the 1950s to early 1960s in matte dark gray in its original condition. Philips logo stamped on the base and a paper label on the underside of the shade.

The lamp has a heavy metal base. With a sturdy stem that tapers upward. The shade shows very light signs of use; no deep dents, scratches, or deformation. When using a spotlight reflector lamp, the light is directed only downward.

In a very nice original (unrestored) condition with (minimal) signs of use consistent with age.

Height is 51 cm, shade diameter 40 cm and base diameter 17 cm.

The electrical wiring has been replaced; in working order. The on-off switch works. Large fitting and suitable for LED.

Tijdloze bureau of tafellamp ontworpen door architect Louis Kalff voor Philips. Dit is de eerste versie uit de jaren 50 - begin jaren 60 in de kleur mat donkergrijs in originele staat. Philips logo gestanst op de voet en een papieren label aan de onderzijde van de kap. 

De lamp heeft een zware metalen voet. Met een stevige steel die naar boven toe smaller wordt. De kap heeft hele lichte gebruikssporen; geen diepe deuken, krassen of vervorming. Bij gebruik van een kopspiegellamp is het licht enkel gericht naar beneden. 

In een hele mooie originele (ongerestaureerde) staat met (minimale) gebruikssporen overeenkomstig leeftijd. 

Hoogte is 51 cm, diameter kap 40 cm en diameter voet 17 cm. 

De elektrische bedrading is vervangen; in werkende staat. Aan-uitknopje werkt. Grote fitting en geschikt voor Led.
