Table - Walnut

This piece of furniture is an antique sewing table (often called a sewing table or work table) from the 19th century (typically Regency or early Victorian, circa 1820–1860). The two sides of the top can be folded up if necessary, increasing the work surface, and can be folded up when not in use to take up little space. Drawers: The front has two drawers with keyholes, in which smaller sewing supplies, needles, threads, scissors were stored. The most telling sign is the funnel-shaped wooden or textile-covered part that tapers downwards from the bottom of the table. This deep storage compartment served as an aesthetic hiding place for semi-finished needlework, larger pieces of material, or balls of wool used for knitting. Turned legs: Finely crafted, elegant wooden legs typical of the style of the era support the furniture. Such tables were popular, functional luxury items in 19th-century bourgeois homes and salons, where ladies could do their needlework while socializing.
The table is in good condition for its age, with lots of signs of use, there are minor defects and cracks. We tried to take photos so that you can see them. The locks work well with a contemporary key holder.
