Description from the seller
Ross Ensign & Kodak No. 2 Folding Cartridge Hawkeye Model C – 2 Vintage Folding Cameras – England & USA – c. 1920s–1950s
A characterful collection of two original vintage folding cameras, combining classic British and American photographic design. With their extending bellows, period metalwork and beautifully aged finishes, these cameras make attractive collector’s pieces and distinctive decorative display objects.
The first is a Kodak No. 2 Folding Cartridge Hawkeye Model C, manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, New York, USA. The original identification plate remains visible and indicates No. 120 film. The camera retains its folding bellows, viewfinder and characteristic early Kodak fittings. Estimated period: circa 1920s.
The second is a Ross Ensign folding camera, made in England, featuring the Ross Ensign badge and an Ensign Snapper shutter. Its grey textured body contrasts beautifully with the black folding bellows and polished metal details, creating a classic mid-century photographic appearance. Estimated period: circa 1950s.
Both cameras show genuine signs of age and previous use, including surface wear, marks, patination and areas of oxidation. These characteristics contribute to their authentic vintage appearance. Please study the photographs carefully for the overall condition and details.
