Modernist chrome-plated desk stand with inkwell.

A modernist chrome-plated desk stand, circa 1930, of strongly geometric form, fitted with a hinged domed cover enclosing a removable black plastic inkwell and three shaped pen rests.

The stepped rectangular base, highly polished surfaces and functional, unornamented design show the influence of Bauhaus and Machine Age modernism.

Measures approximately 15 × 9 × 8 cm.

In very good vintage condition, with light surface wear, scratches and minor marks consistent with age and use.
