Tea kettle - Copper, Brass - Antique kettle

Antique handmade copper kettle, with a bulbous body, of domed shape, with a dome lid topped by a baluster brass knob. The pouring spout is made entirely of cast brass, featuring the characteristic S-shaped curvature. The handle, handmade wrought iron with a grip wrapped in copper tube, is attached to the body by sturdy hinges.

The body features a decorative band with incised/relief motifs (plant and lozenge geometric elements) on the lower part, while the upper part is smooth and hand-hammered, with evident traces of artisanal work. The patina is uneven, with zones of bright copper alternating with brown-green oxidation, typical of the metal’s natural aging.
