Ancient hand-painted ceiling panel of generous dimensions: 191 cm wide, 36.5 cm high, 3 cm thick, in a single wooden slab. The panel depicts four Sicilian paladins adorned with flowers and acanthus leaves. The vivid colors representing Sicily—such as the yellow of the sun, the red of the volcanoes, and the blue of the sea—are present in the Sicilian paintings.
