There appears to be something inside the lens—perhaps a bubble in the rear element or a small speck of dust that couldn’t be removed? (See the small black dot in the sixth image.)
There are signs of mold.
This does not affect the quality of the photos.

This is the Zuiko Auto-T 100mm F2, a large-aperture medium telephoto lens that epitomizes the Olympus OM system.
Introduced around 1980, this 100mm F2 lens features a 7-element, 6-group optical system, a 24° angle of view, and a minimum focusing distance of 0.7m. It is one of the most highly regarded large-aperture lenses in the OM Zuiko lineup and is well-suited for portraits, snapshots, and indoor photography, thanks to its F2 maximum aperture.
The combination of the easy-to-handle 100mm medium telephoto focal length and the F2 aperture allows you to naturally highlight your subject while creating a dramatic background blur.
The interior of the lens was cleaned in September 2026. It also comes with the original built-in lens hood.
