Today at the auction I have the pleasure of presenting to you

The iconic cast-iron candlestick "Spider" (Spider), designed by the famous Danish designer Jens Harald Quistgaard for the Dansk Designs brand in the 1960s.

This distinctive, modernist design from the Mid-Century Modern era features 12 arms, each intended for a thin, miniature candle (so-called tiny tapers). Due to its raw, organic form, the candlestick is also sometimes called the "Sputnik" or "The Atom" and is a highly valued collectible object on the vintage market
