This hand-knotted Kashmiri silk rug features a detailed vase- and Tree of Life design. From a large, artistically adorned vase, a flowing blossom tree develops, filling the light central field almost completely. Numerous birds, blossoms and leaves complement the symmetrically arranged depiction.

A rust-red main border frames the cream-colored inner field with a continuous floral tendril. Rust red, cream, blue, green, brown, and apricot form a warm and high-contrast color palette. The numerous bird motifs give the rug a particularly decorative character.

The rug has a pile of natural silk and a silk warp. The depicted Central Silk Board India certificate confirms the hand-knotted production as well as the pile made of 100% natural silk. The characteristic silk sheen makes the colors appear differently depending on the incidence of light and viewing direction.

Due to its narrow format, the rug is excellent for hallways, narrow living areas, as a decorative accent in front of a piece of furniture, or as an artful wall hanging.
