Mini Cooper S Cabriolet, year 2005, with a 1.6‑litre 16V supercharged petrol engine delivering 170 hp, manual transmission and silver exterior.
Description from the seller
Beautiful and well-running Mini Cooper S, built in 2005, original 1.6-liter 16V engine with supercharger (hence Cooper S), 170 hp and connected to a manual six-speed gearbox.
The Mini Cooper S generation R53 is one of the most reliable Minis from the BMW era, with a Chrysler 1.6 block paired to a volumetric compressor, a guarantee of reliability and consistent performance. The 2004-2007 generation benefited from very useful developments, a new Getrag gearbox with better gear engagement, a more reliable steering rack (addition of a steering fan), and the addition of the glove compartment. The black sun protection film on the windshield is easy to remove if desired. Starts, drives, shifts and brakes well, like new.
Documents:
The APK/MOT is valid until December 5, 2026. The car was new in Germany and came to the Netherlands in 2021, so it has a valid Dutch registration. The car can be delivered (for an extra €50) with EU export documents so that a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in their country. A COC / CVO certificate is also possible, for an extra €70.
Body:
This Cabriolet Cooper S has a beautiful, original silver metallic color, which Mini suitably simply calls “Pure Silver.” In terms of rust, this car is very neat, with the specific spot near the right rear light. Very slight signs of use are present, see photos. The underside is also this neat, really a tidy car. See the photos.
Technical:
The Mini could use a service, according to the maintenance booklet. It handles like a dream, a delightful car to drive. The car starts immediately, pulls well, shifts, steers and brakes perfectly.
Interior:
The car comes with a fully leather interior, a leather sport steering wheel original Mini, air conditioning, electric windows and radio. One seam on the driver's seat has come loose; otherwise the interior, like the exterior, is very tidy. A nicely functioning car radio is installed. The electric roof is also in good condition and works well, as do all windows; neat original alloy wheels complete this handsome appearance, see photo.
Pickup:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can of course be picked up here. The car can be delivered within the Netherlands for an additional charge (excludes the Wadden Islands).
For foreign bidders:
Delivery/transport:
The seller can have the car delivered relatively cheaply across the entire EU by a professional carrier.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
