Today on the auction I have the pleasure to present to you


Legendary vase “Ovalis” (model 3036), designed by the eminent Finnish designer and sculptor Tapio Wirkkala.

The project was created in 1958 for the famous Finnish manufacturer Iittala.
The vase is an excellent example of Nordic modernism.

It was made using the cased glass technique – the inner layer is opaque, white opal glass, which from the outside is surrounded by a thick, perfectly smooth, transparent layer of crystal glass.
