Murano glass pharmacy vase, handmade in Italy in the 1970s, with a scavo effect, cobalt blue glass and hand-made gold decorations, and a lemon-shaped knob; dimensions about 40 cm high, 14 cm wide and 14 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Pharmacy/apothecary vase "Scavo" in artistic Murano glass – 1970s
Important apothecary vase crafted entirely by hand in Murano in the seventies, characterized by the evocative scavo effect technique, a method that lends the glass the discreet and refined charm of ancient artifacts preserved through time.
The intense cobalt blue color, enriched by delicate violet shades on the lid, creates an elegant contrast with the precious hand-decorated gold decorations that embellish the surface with ornamental motifs inspired by classical tradition. The lemon-shaped knob, artisanally molded, adds another detail of value and originality.
Each vase stems from the skill and imagination of Murano’s master glassmakers: slight variations in the glass tones, in the distribution of decorations, or in the surface finishes should be regarded as a natural consequence of manual workmanship and attest to its authenticity.
Thanks to its strong visual presence and the richness of decorative details, this vase represents a refined collectible object and a prestigious furnishing accessory, capable of enhancing both classical and contemporary interiors.
Dimensions: approximately 40 × 14 cm
Era: 1970s
Material: artistic Murano glass
Finish: scavo effect with hand-applied gold decorations
Craftsmanship: entirely handmade by Murano master glassmakers
Use: decorative and highly valuable collectible item.
