Catellani & Smith - Fil de Fer - Enzo Castellani - Italy - 60 cm - floor/pendant lamp.

The icon of Catellani & Smith, the Catellani & Smith Fil de Fer, was developed for a special commission and ultimately won the heart of designer Enzo Castellani. This stunning fixture is absolutely breathtaking and a favorite of many.

The Catellani & Smith Fil de Fer is a different type of lighting. The Fil de Fer is a lighting fixture made from formed and woven aluminum wire.

This lamp was designed more than twenty years ago for a commission for which it was never used; it won the hearts and attention of everyone who saw it when Catellani pulled it into his workshop. It quickly became the icon of Catellani & Smith.

The Catellani & Smith Fil de Fer has a 60 cm diameter.
This lamp is in a beautiful used condition with minimal signs of wear of time. It is still available new for about €2600.
The lamp has been tested to operate correctly. All halogen bulbs light up. See photos.
Light sources are not supplied. They are included nonetheless.
Also easy to replace with the right LED bulbs and also dimmable with the proper dimmer.
You can use this as a floor lamp, as the photo shows there is a push switch on top of the transformer housing.
Obviously you can also use it as a pendant ceiling lamp.
For support, there is, if needed, a steel cable attached.
