Splendid and elegant vintage bedroom set (the 1940s), expression of the highest Italian artisanal tradition of handmade linens. The set is entirely crocheted in geometric filet crochet, made completely by hand in Murano (Venice) and consists of a bedspread and two coordinated pillow covers, made in white 100% cotton yarn of medium thickness, extremely stable and full-bodied.
The bedspread consists of no fewer than 1184 circular motifs with floral patterns (stylized roses/daisies) joined geometrically by crochet. It measures 295 cm in length by 215 cm in width. It is complemented by two pillow covers, each composed of 108 floral motifs identical to those of the bedspread; dimensions: 80 cm x 55 cm.
Total weight of the lot: 2394 grams (testifying to the density and quality of the era's thread).
It has been preserved for over 90 years in impeccable condition and is truly beautiful, precious and suitable for any decor (in addition to being a small masterpiece for collectors).
