A frame of rich craftsmanship made of solid wood, clad with rich and dense high-relief decorations in plaster.
Characterized by an extraordinary stage presence, the most precious element lies in the complexity and symmetry of its ornamental arrangement.
At the center of each side and in the four corners unfold splendid symmetric opposing cartouches, foliate motifs. The heart of these decorations is enriched by a finely chiselled background with cross-hatched (lattice-like) engraving, which catches the light, creating a vibrant contrast with the polished parts. From this center extend elegant opposing C- and S-shaped volutes, which merge with stylized acanthus leaves and small beaded elements.
The profile of the frame adopts a strong inward flare, projecting the viewer's gaze toward the center.
Adjacent to the space allocated for the artwork, runs a highly refined continuous band carved with a motif of flowing volutes and stylized waves. This detail serves as a perfect visual transition element between the richness of the frame and the hosted canvas.
The finish deftly plays with bronzing techniques. The relief parts are finished in brighter, more vivid gold tones, while the recessed and reticulated backgrounds receive a dark patination (faux bolo effect) that simulates natural aging and gives the solemn look of antique frames.
