This is an antique ebonized and gilded wood, cassetta frame, a classic model of the Italian artisanal tradition, widely spread between the 17th and 18th centuries. This linear and elegant style is often associated with or defined as "in Salvator Rosa style", characterized by the typical alternation between the smooth black or ebonized band and the inner and outer profiles finished in gold color. 
External dimensions: about 45x49x6 cm 
Internal dimensions: about 32x28x3.5 cm

Questa è un'antica cornice a cassetta in legno ebanizzato e dorato, un modello classico della tradizione artigianale italiana, ampiamente diffuso tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo. Questo stile lineare ed elegante viene spesso associato o definito "in stile Salvator Rosa", caratterizzato dalla tipica alternanza tra la fascia nera liscia o ebanizzata e i profili interni ed esterni rifiniti in color  d'oro .
