A highly sought-after and iconic French Art Deco ‘visage’ (Face-Set) tea or coffee service from the 1930s. This rare sculptural design, often attributed to or inspired by designers such as Jean de la Fontaine, is a beautiful example of the geometric and playful Art Deco style.
The hand-painted service is executed in a warm cream color and finely decorated with burgundy-red accents.
The spout and the handle of the pot ingeniously form the outline of the stylized, hand-painted face.
