Description from the seller
Beautiful set of two traditional Japanese kitchen knives, consisting of a long yanagiba and a compact deba. Both knives have a characterful, authentic appearance and feature Japanese markings/inscriptions. The blades are sharp and ready for use.
The yanagiba has a total length of about 34 cm and features a long, narrow blade, ideal for precise slicing of fish, sushi, and sashimi. The wooden handle with a black ferrule carries an old Japanese label, which adds extra charm to the knife.
The deba has a total length of about 24 cm and is equipped with a sturdy, wider blade and a black wooden handle with a brass ferrule. This traditional Japanese blade type is mainly used for processing and filleting fish.
Both knives are in used vintage condition, with visible signs of wear and aging such as slight discoloration and patina on the blades. This suits their age and authentic character. An interesting set for lovers of traditional Japanese knives, both for actual use and to add to a collection.
