This characterful piece features an octagonal top panel and on the underside is richly adorned with detailed hand-carved woodwork with acanthus leaf motifs. Very striking are the subtle, original traces of polychromy in blue and red tones, combined with a refined gilding that beautifully accentuates the carving. The wooden console is in a beautiful authentic condition with a warm patina and a very charming appearance, where light wear and signs of age only enhance the historical value.
