Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Variant MGF VVC equipped with a 1.8i engine and variable valve timing
• Fitted with a sport air filter and an aftermarket sport exhaust
• Supplied with dual opening actuators: 2 keys and 2 integrated remote controls
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The MG F, introduced in the mid-1990s, marked the return of the historic British brand to the pure mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive spider segment. The VVC (Variable Valve Control) version stands out for adopting the Rover K-series 1.8-litre engine with variable valve timing, capable of delivering sporty performance and a bright delivery. This example was previously purchased on the Catawiki platform and has been stationary and unused in recent years, requiring a general restoration before being back on the road.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
The bodywork presents generally to be reviewed with several aesthetic defects. At the rear, the clearcoat is missing in some areas, while the front bumper shows signs of use. The soft top shows signs of age and its supporting frame presents points of superficial rust. The headlight seals need attention and the air vents are not the original ones.
INTERNI:
The cabin shows typical signs of age-related wear. An aftermarket wood/plastic finish aesthetic kit (removable) has been installed, and there is a slightly damaged central armrest. The leather/cloth upholstery shows wear and some dashboard indicator lights are non-functional.
MECCANICA:
The car is drivable, with a functioning gearbox but the clutch engagement point is high. The engine bay houses the 1.8 VVC engine modified with the installation of a sport air filter and a sport exhaust. The battery has been replaced and is new; the tires have a DOT code of 2016 and the front brake pads are worn/low. As a vehicle that has stood idle for a long time, it requires a mechanical check-up and a full service.
DOCUMENTI:
The car comes with the circulation documents shown in the attached images. The service book is not present (maintenance history absent).

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
