Statue, Heilgenbeeld - 19e eeuw - 85 cm - Wood

An antique wooden statue of a saint, presumably a depiction of the Child Jesus (Enfant Jésus). The statue wears a long blue robe with gold details at the neckline. The hair is finely carved in curls and the gaze is directed forward.

The height of the statue is approximately 85 cm
Condition and details:
The statue is in a well-worn, authentic state with a lovely patina of age. There is substantial loss of paint (polychromy) across the entire figure, especially on the robe. Both forearms/hands are unfortunately missing. The statue is partly hollow inside on the inner/back side. Needs restoration.
