Description from the seller

OLYMPUS PEN-EED, tested and working.

Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.

The Olympus PEN-EED, released in 1967, is a half-frame 35mm camera producing two 18x24mm images per standard frame. It carries the fastest fixed lens ever fitted to a PEN, a 32mm f/1.7 F.Zuiko, paired with a CdS-metered automatic exposure system offering programmed auto or aperture-priority operation. It combined the automation of the PEN EE series with the bright, fast optics previously reserved for the manual PEN D line, and added a self-timer. Because of its fast f/1.7 lens, the EED is generally more sought-after among collectors than the slower f/2.8 and f/3.5 PEN EE models.

Important — please read carefully:
The body has rust and the battery compartment has leakage traces (cleaned). Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.

Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws

Serial Number
Please check the photo.

Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use, with some rust on the metal parts. Please check the photos for details.

Optical Condition
Finder: Cleaned internally.
Lens / Sensor: Clear — no haze, fungus or scratches.

Functional
Automatic exposure works. The meter reads about 1.5 stops dark in dim light (-1.4 EV at EV12) and is accurate in bright light (-0.1 EV at EV15).
The battery compartment shows traces of old battery leakage; it has been cleaned.
The light seals have been replaced and the viewfinder cleaned internally.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.4 UNDER / EV15: 0.1 UNDER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.

Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally

Known Issues
1. Rust on the metal body parts.
2. Traces of old battery leakage in the battery compartment (cleaned).

Bundled Items
Camera and lens cap, as pictured.

Important Notes for Used Items
