Presented as part of an auction dedicated to the Porsche universe, Upgrade starts with a wink that is immediately readable by both car enthusiasts and comic book lovers: Gaston Lagaffe has swapped his famous clunker for a Porsche. But SKE does not erase the memory of Gaston’s old car. He translates it. The Porsche deliberately reclaims its most recognizable visual codes: the vivid yellow and the black-and-white checkered band. As if Gaston had finally moved up a category… without really giving up his identity.

It is precisely this mismatch that gives the work its power. On the one hand, the instantly recognizable silhouette of a Porsche, a symbol of performance, automotive desire, and collector culture. On the other hand, Gaston, hero of absolute nonchalance, at the wheel with his eternally calm expression. The meeting of these two worlds creates an image that is funny, nostalgic, and very graphic.

Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.

Upon receipt, gently remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing.

ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decor stores.

Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and economical; they showcase artworks perfectly.

SKE is a self-taught French artist and a true all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.

He continuously explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, combine the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as the "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
