Aiwa AD-6900 MkII is one of the most famous and iconic vintage cassette decks produced by Aiwa, introduced to the market in 1979 as an evolution of the previous model. Considered a true masterpiece of the golden era of analog high fidelity, it is renowned for its extraordinary build quality as well as an unmistakable aesthetics dominated by unique analog indicators.
Main Features and Innovations:
*Dual-Needle VU Meter: It is equipped with a sophisticated system with a total of 4 needles (two per channel). It allows simultaneous monitoring of the average signal level (VU) and the peaks (Peak Hold) for precise calibration of the recording.
*3-Head System: It has separate playback and recording heads that enable real-time audio monitoring directly from the tape during recording.
*Manual Bias Calibration: Integrates an internal tone generator to finely adjust the premagnetization current based on the specific type of cassette inserted.

*3 Heads, 2 Motors (1 servo DC for the capstan, 1 for the reels)
*Frequency Response 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz (with Metal/FeCr tapes)
