The Sede DS-450 Sofa, also known as the ‘Little Bestseller’, is a timeless design by Thomas Althaus. It is the sofa that adapts to everything and everywhere. For Althaus, the fusion between creative versatility and reduction to the utmost necessity was the essence of the sofa. Through the functional versatility of the design, the DS-450 finds its place in a variety of interior styles. Many connoisseurs also note similarities between the vintage ‘Reto Frigg’ by Sede and this model. Both models are brilliant, functional, and a technical inspiration when it comes to sofas. The DS-450 is thus also seen as a reintroduction of the Reto Frigg with a modern form and refined technology. It is a design that gives a futuristic impulse to existing swivel sofas.

The beautiful DS-450 from Sede is a true showpiece in any room. The sofa was primarily designed as a development of the DS-140. This sofa already had armrests that could be folded down into footrests and a flexible back, a real revolution in the seating world. The DS-450 has been developed a bit further and can set its armrests in five positions. In the lowest position the armrest is flat and when you rotate the seat ninety degrees forward, this section transforms into an ottoman. Delightfully relaxing! When you want to relax optimally, you can pull on a loop between the backrest and seat and you can infinitely adjust the backrest backward. This turns your sofa into a two-person recliner.
