Box - red lacquer - black lacquer - bronze - No Reserve

Important box in red lacquer and black lacquer, of Chinese origin and dating from around 1970.
The box is finely hand-carved, and in the carvings one can see the alternation of red lacquer layers with black lacquer layers. This play of colors further enriches the precious carving with ornamental geometric motifs.
The final layer, the outer one, is red lacquer, a feature that makes the object fascinating and precious.
The inside of the box is coated with glossy black lacquer while the edge is brass.
The bottom is glossy black lacquer with a brass base.
