Description from the seller
A photography book dedicated to the painter Anna Salvatore, created by photographer Franco Fedeli.
1967 - Italian - 100p - 34cm x 25cm - Hardback
In very good condition, especially for a book from 1967. No tears or loose pages; only minor damage and small marks on the cover, and slight discoloration of the pages (see also the attached photos).
The volume brings together black-and-white images of the artist, environmental portraits, and reproductions of her works, accompanied by critical texts and contributions from prominent Italian authors. It includes writings by Giuseppe Ungaretti, Alberto Moravia, Carlo Levi, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Renato Guttuso, and others, with a preface by Michele Calabrese.
The first part of the book contains photographs of Anna—nude, seated, standing, running, lying in a hammock, on the beach, at dawn, at sunset, and so on. The second part of the volume features numerous reproductions of female nudes painted by the artist, accompanied by texts from highly authoritative writers.
First printing of Fedeli's black and white nude photographs of the neorealist painter Anna Salvatore, with several reproductions of her own self-portraits. Includes short critical and appreciative texts by Pier Paolo Pasolini, Alberto Moravia, Ugo Moretti, and many others. Hardcover. Folio. Photographic boards, no dust jacket as issued. Light wear and bumping to spine ends. Pages toned, some rippling & smudges to endpapers. In Italian.
The book will be safely packaged and shipped with Track&trace
