Characterful vintage wooden milk stool with a remarkably simple and functional design. It is precisely that sober construction, the warm wood and the three diagonally placed legs that give this little stool a strong rural and almost brutalist appearance.

Originally, these low three-legged stools were used as milk stools. The three-legged construction was practical because it remained stable on uneven floors or ground, something that was important in traditional farm furniture. This specimen has a sturdy, rectangular seat with rounded corners and three angled-outward wooden legs. Noticeable are the three round dark wooden joints visible at the top of the tabletop. This peg/dowel construction emphasizes the craft and functional character of the furniture.
