Beautiful vintage Art Deco sunburst wall clock, also called sun clock or "Soleil" clock.
This impressive eye-catcher features the characteristic corona of rays in gilded wood with alternating smooth and flame-figured rays.
The convex dial is crème-white with black Roman numerals, Arabic minute markers (5-60) and delicate fleur-de-lis decoration.
In the center a gold-colored mirror plate.
The original ornate hands are fully intact.
The clock has an overwound spring and can be repaired..
A rare and highly decorative piece from the period 1930-1950, probably of French manufacture.
