Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex Analogue camera

Here, a splendid, solid, and fascinating vintage bi-plate camera: the Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex, produced in West Germany by the prestigious Zeiss Ikon in the first half of the 1950s. This medium format camera uses 120 roll film to expose square negatives in the classic 6x6 cm format.

The lot is presented in excellent overall condition, with minimal and light signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age, and is complete with its Zeiss Tessar taking lens and the Teronar viewing lens.

Optics: The optical unit consists of two coordinated 75mm lenses: on the top is the Teronar-Anastigmat 1:3.5 f=75mm viewing lens, while on the bottom is equipped with the renowned Zeiss-Opton Tessar 1:3.5 f=75mm taking lens, famous for its sharpness and the contrast typical of Zeiss four-element schemes. As indicated, the lenses are clean, transparent, and completely free of scratches or traces of internal mold or fungus. The identifying inscriptions and serial numbers on the front are sharp and well preserved.

Mechanics: The lot has been tested and is functioning. The high-quality Synchro-Compur mechanical central shutter fires regularly at the various set speeds. The knurled side dials for manual selection of shutter speeds and aperture rings run smoothly.

Aesthetics: Excellent general condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The camera body retains its original black textured finish, intact with no separations or missing areas.
