The Tandberg TCD 330 cassette deck, manufactured in 1979, is in excellent physical condition and has been tested and is working.
Description from the seller
The Tandberg TCD 330 is an iconic and high-quality vintage cassette deck produced between 1976 and 1979 by the Norwegian brand Tandberg. The deck is known in the audio world as one of the few European counterparts that could seriously compete with Nakamichi's legendary "Tri-Tracer" decks at the time.
Key Features & Technology
The TCD 330 was designed to bring the sound quality of a reel recorder to the compact cassette format. This was made possible by a number of progressive technologies for that time:
3 Heads System with Off-Tape Monitoring: Thanks to the separate erase, recording and display heads, you can listen directly live to the actual result on the tape (source/tape monitoring) while recording.
3 Motors & Closed Loop (Dual Capstan): The running gear uses two capstans (one before and one after the heads) to ensure an extremely stable tire pressure. One heavy-duty AC synchronous motor drives the capstans, while two DC motors take care of the rinsing.
Manual Azimuth adjustment: On the front is a unique built-in controller to perfectly match the angle (azimuth) of the recording head to the seated cassette (using a 10,000 Hz test tone), ensuring optimal high tone reproduction.
Logical Touch Key Control: Instead of stiff mechanical keys, the TCD 330 has electronic, micro-solenoid-controlled push buttons that respond quickly and smoothly.
Analog VU meters: The deck is equipped with large, accurate analog illuminated peak meters.
Unit has been tested and fully operational!
