Table knife (12) - Steel

For sale: Magnificent set of 12 antique dining knives (late 19th / early 20th century), presented in their original box.

Handles: In genuine natural horn, offering superb unique marbled shades on each piece (ranging from blond to dark brown).

Blades: In guaranteed cast steel, stamped (see photos).

Cast steel from this era offers an excellent edge.

Finish: Pretty rivets, elaborately crafted and silvered at the junction between the handle and the blade.

Box: Original green-covered case, stamped on the inside with the prestigious house “P. Romanet, 45-47-49 Grande Rue, Chalon-sur-Saône” (a true historical institution of the region).

Condition: Pleasant overall for objects a century old. The blades have retained their superb antique patina. A few light signs of time, normal, which add to the charm of authenticity. Ideal for a table with character, for chic country/decor or for collectors of tableware art.
