Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria (Goldenes Ehrenzeichen für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich). Established in 1952, it is one of the most important Austrian national honours, conferred by the Federal President for exceptional merits to the nation. Inside the red presentation case lid is visible the mark of the prestigious official Vienna-based manufacturer Wolfgang Reitterer (historically located at Schubertgasse 24, 1090 Vienna).
