Description from the seller

Antique regulator clock in gilded régule – Hunter figure with dog – Late 19th century

Beautiful antique mantel clock dating from the late 19th century, featuring an elegant figure of a young hunter accompanied by his dog. The character holds game in his hand while beside him stands a lyre-style decorative surround incorporating the dial.

The whole rests on a white stone base (marble or alabaster) adorned with a rich gilded régule rocaille decoration. The enamel dial with Roman numerals is framed by a beaded bezel.

The wind-up mechanical movement by key is complete and accompanied by its balance, bell and key. The clock is described as being in working condition.

The old gilding shows a lovely patina of the period with signs of wear, oxidation and a few marks of time that attest to its authenticity.

Condition:
Good overall condition considering its age. Wear to the gilding, antique patina, light oxidations and signs of use. Movement complete. Please examine the photographs carefully, which are an integral part of the description.
