Large wooden sculpture of Mary with the Christ Child in her arms. Mary holds the child close to her, their heads touching. The figures are softly and restrainedly worked. Mary's long gown has a strongly flowing drapery, with a wide mantle that wraps around the body. The sculpture is executed in the tradition of South Tyrolean wood carving.
Height approximately 50 cm; unsigned, in good overall condition with light signs of aging and localized loss and wear of the gilding.
