Electromagnetic Clock - Wood - 1920-1930

A rare vintage Art Deco electromechanical wall clock from the 1920s–30s, featuring a Swiss Reform movement and a case made of wood veneer (walnut burl or root wood). The Swiss movement is a 15-jewel mechanism equipped with a Breguet hairspring and an Invar balance wheel. The "Reform" and "Brevet+" markings indicate a Swiss patent. This is an early electromechanical clock; it combines a classic lever escapement with an electric solenoid (green in color). The solenoid receives power (a modern 4V battery pack is shown connected in the photo) and provides automatic spring winding or an impulse to the balance wheel, eliminating the need for manual winding with a key.
