Gottlieb (D. Gottlieb & Co) was an arcade game company, founded by David Gottlieb in 1927. It is best known for designing numerous pinballs. Gottlieb began by building mechanical pinballs, then electro-mechanical ones from 1935, and finally purely electronic ones in the late 1970s. Throughout its existence, the company offered several major innovations in the history of pinball. Thus, in 1954, Gottlieb was the first to offer a pinball that could be played by 4 players.
