Description from the seller

Immaculate Conception with Lily - plaster - France - first half of the 20th century

Professionally shipped – more than 950 five-star reviews worldwide

Serene religious figurine of Mary as the Immaculate Conception. Mary is depicted with a lowered gaze and holds a lily in her hands, a symbol of purity. Under her feet she tramples the snake, referring to her victory over original sin.

The figurine is completely in off-white. The long folds of the garment, the finely modeled face, the hands and the lily branch are carefully worked out.

Height approx. 31 cm. In good condition with normal signs of aging and slight discoloration.

The piece bears the signature D.S.R. referring to D. Saudinos Ritouret, a Paris-based company of religious articles, run by widow Saudinos, which had branches at Place Saint-Sulpice and near Montmartre, from 1875 to the first half of the previous century.

Please look closely at the photos, they form part of the description.

Shipped with track & trace.
